Form and Light is the collaborative work of Mimi Norrgren and Jeffrey Rogers, a Skåne-based design duo with backgrounds in fine art and craftsmanship. We are dedicated to exploring the interplay of form and light, bringing beauty, innovation and skill to every project.

The people/Us and our background

Mimi brings her love of sculptural form and texture to the studio, honed during her years of study in the UK. She completed her foundation art course at Central Saint Martins moving on to The Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford, were she was mentored by influential British artist Richard Wentworth and the renowned sculptor, poet, novelist, film maker, and performance artist Brian Catling. She continued her studies at the Royal College of Art where sculpture was her chosen discipline.

Jeffrey studied art history at Bristol University and developed his practice in art studios focused on mouldmaking, carpentry, and glass work. He has a wide range of experience working for artists and clients, producing high spec installations, bespoke furniture and architectural commissions.

Our shared love for art and design has always been a guiding force. Drawing inspiration from our time working with renowned glass artist Max Jacquard and High end-designer Dawn Bendick, glass has become central to our practice. We work with stained glass - including the copper foil technique of Tiffany craft and traditional lead work - as well as fused glass and cast glass. Together we have also refined our skills in gilding and furniture finishing at the prestigious interior design company PORTA ROMANA, worked on projects for various artists including sculptor Kate Henderson and taken on a variety of personal commissions.

From England to Sweden

Six years ago, we left England for Sweden, establishing our studio near Vinslöv in Skåne. Here we are creating a vibrant hub that combines our expertise to offer unique works, inspiring courses, prototyping and custom commission work.

Today our studio is a place where craftsmanship meets innovation. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of glass and mixed media, creating works that resonate across disciplines and invite audiences to experience the intersection of art, design, and architecture through FORM AND LIGHT.

“We are always testing new methods and ways of working, as we believe this creates unique work.”
